No. 71: Commuters, 1985

Breakfast TV followed by breakfast
Traffic jam or tube?
A choice to reunite this morning
With our fellows
To curse and discharge arrows
From our eyes
At our faceless, distant
But too close , unknown brethren
To the office, the factory floor
Far removed , tedious ,monotonous
Unbearable deeds of servitude
In order to spear the unsuspecting prey
And drag it yelling from the check out
All the way back to our lonely caves.
